Movie catches up with David Brent in present day. Here’s the title track from the movie, probably the only music video ever to heavily feature a Vauxhall Insignia. Out Friday in the UK and Ireland, apparently on this side of the pond on Netflix next year.

Is this going to be a theatrical release in the UK? Or is it a TV/Netflix movie over there? If it's still made by the BBC (for TV) hopefully I can just fire up my VPN and view it in iPlayer.

Theatrical release in the UK, but only on Netflix in North America, likely next year. So the old VPN trick won’t work.

Apparently no Martin Freeman, which sucks, but NME says it’s Gervais’ best work in years, so hopefully it’s still good.

Dang, well that’s a bit disappointing. But, I bet their budget probably wouldn’t allow for paying him with how big a star he’s become.
And not to be mean, but it doesn’t take much for something to be Gervais’ best work in years. The only thing I’ve seen him in in a while was a Verizon commercial.
